About The Position

Supports plant compliance with international customs regulations by processing and maintaining documentation, tracking duties and reimbursements, and assisting with freight cost monitoring and reporting activities. This is an hourly 1st shift position with a wage range of $25.00 to $28.79 per hour.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or related field.
Advanced level Microsoft Office suite required.
Basic knowledge of customs regulations and freight processes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document processing.
Good communication skills (internal and external).
Ability to follow standard procedures and supervisor direction.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

1-3 years experience in a logistics, shipping, or customs-related environment preferred.
Manufacturing environment preferred.
Intermediate level SAP preferred.
SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day customs compliance activities under the direction of the PC&L Manager or Supervisor.
Review and process shipping documents (BOL, commercial invoices, customs paperwork) for accuracy and completeness.
Maintain organized records of all customs-related documentation and filings.
Assist with audits of supplier and broker documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
Help track duties paid and support recovery submissions to customers.
Review freight invoices and flag discrepancies for supervisor review.
Monitor and report premium freight usage and support cost tracking activities.
Assist in coordination with freight forwarders, brokers, and internal teams (materials, purchasing, accounting) to resolve shipment issues.
Assist in maintaining accurate HTSUS classifications and customs data.
Prepare routine reports on duties, freight costs, and audit findings.
Escalate issues or non-compliance concerns to management in a timely manner.
Follow all safety policies, use required PPE, and maintain good housekeeping (5S).
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
