About The Position

Ewing Outdoor Supply is seeking an excellent customer service professional for our Grants Pass OR branch. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and safety, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced distribution warehouse environment. This role involves both delivery and warehouse responsibilities, requiring the ability to flex and lift 50-70 lbs. The position also offers opportunities to develop skills and product knowledge for potential work at the sales counter.

Requirements

  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift 50-70 pounds.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships.
  • Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good driving record with no traffic violations.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior green industry and landscape experience.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions (training provided).
  • Proven work experience as a Customer Service Associate, Sales Associate, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers and go the extra mile.
  • Greet and direct customers.
  • Provide accurate product information, pricing, and after-sales service details.
  • Answer customer questions about specific products/services.
  • Conduct price and feature comparisons to assist with purchasing decisions.
  • Cross-sell products.
  • Ensure racks are fully stocked.
  • Manage merchandise returns.
  • Coordinate with team members to provide excellent customer service, especially during peak times.
  • Inform customers about discounts and special offers.
  • Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager.
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services.
  • Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses using various routes.
  • Follow designated routes and time schedules.
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle.
  • Seek feedback on services provided and resolve client complaints.
  • Inform customers about new products and services.
  • Adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Work on feet for most of the shift and perform repetitive physical tasks like stooping, squatting, and lifting items overhead.
  • Operate and make deliveries in a commercial vehicle such as an Isuzu NRR 650 or similar.
