About The Position

MC Machinery Systems, Inc. is seeking a Customer Support Technician to provide technical support for various abrasives and material finishing techniques. This role involves machine installations, customer support via telephone and on-site visits, troubleshooting, and developing technical documentation. The technician will also provide hands-on training to customers and internal teams, diagnose and resolve machine performance issues, and collaborate with management and customers to ensure solutions meet operational needs. The position requires frequent travel throughout North America for installations, service, and training.

Requirements

  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships while meeting deadlines.
  • Capable of troubleshooting a wide range of deburring and material finishing issues.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and components.
  • Ability to communicate application strategies, process improvements, and effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Ability to evaluate finishing and make sound recommendations using independent judgment.
  • Willingness to travel for customer support, machine installations, application development, and training.
  • Valid driver’s license, passport, and proof of insurance required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and components on MC supported press brakes and associated equipment/options.
  • Ability to perform analyses/work using some independent judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with circuit repair and NC programming systems such as MasterCam, AutoCAD, and ESPIRIT.
  • Experience in industrial machine repair.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and effectively explain the applications of various abrasives and material finishing techniques.
  • Perform machine installations and follow up to verify proper machine setup and alignment.
  • Provide customer support via telephone for application and operational issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine problems at customer sites to improve and enhance equipment performance.
  • Develop technical documentation, including training manuals, workbooks, and sample projects for classroom use.
  • Provide hands-on training and support to customers and internal teams to ensure proper machine operation adherence to best practices.
  • Diagnose and resolve machine performance issues, suffice inconsistencies, and process inefficiencies.
  • Work closely with management and customers to ensure solutions align with operational and customer needs.
  • Provide phone support to customers and service personnel as needed.
  • Travel independently throughout North America for equipment installation, service, and customer training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
