About The Position

Swenson Granite Works, a division of Polycor, is hiring a full-time Customer Support Associate in Rowley, Massachusetts. Reporting to the Store Manager, the associate helps and educates customers, promotes sales, and provides advice on selecting, preparing sites for, and using natural stone products. The role involves identifying products and services that meet customer needs and assisting customers in person, by phone, and by email to create a positive sales experience.

The associate also supports store and yard operations, including inventory coordination and day-to-day activities. The role requires customer service and sales capability, intermediate computer skills, and comfort working in varied weather conditions. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Seasonal half-day Saturday availability is required from April through October.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service abilities and a genuine passion for serving customers.
• Patience and professionalism, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Intermediate computer skills, including experience with a point-of-sale system and Microsoft Office products.
• Availability for seasonal half-day Saturday work from April to October.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, including a drug test.
• Comfort working in a range of weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service or sales, particularly in the construction or home improvement industries.
• Knowledge of natural stone hardscaping and outdoor living products; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Equivalent experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Explain product and service offerings and provide strong customer service.
• Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales orders.
• Help ensure customers receive the right product in the correct quantity at the appropriate time.
• Inform local businesses about Swenson's dealer discounts.
• Assist with yard and store operations, daily activities, inventory coordination, customer service, and operational efficiency.
• Help customers select, prepare sites for, and use natural stone products, identifying suitable products or services.
• Assist customers in person, over the phone, and by email.
