About The Position

The Customer Service Supervisor promotes an excellent customer experience and oversees front-of-store Associates to ensure prompt, courteous service and promotion of loyalty programs. The supervisor leads by example through customer engagement, maintaining a clean and organized store, and modeling outstanding customer service. The role includes training and mentoring Associates, coordinating front-end coverage and breaks, addressing customer concerns, and working with management to support store priorities, safety, and shrink-reduction goals. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 0126 in Duluth, Minnesota, and has a starting pay range of $16.00 to $16.50 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
Ability to multitask.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors as a team player.
Ability to train others.
1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote a culture of honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Train and mentor Associates on front-end principles and coach them on personalizing customer interactions while promoting loyalty programs.
Assign registers, respond to point-of-sale coverage needs, and coordinate Associate breaks.
Address customer concerns and issues promptly.
Ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
Communicate priorities and progress accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
