About The Position

This individual provides clerical/administrative support to the centralized sales function. The role involves communicating and coordinating sales policies, practices, and procedures with department and company managers, officials, customers, and the public. Responsibilities include reviewing and distributing mail, filing and tracking company records (electronic and paper), answering questions about the organization's products and services, and potentially assisting in customer service functions. The representative will also assist customers by providing the status of their open purchase orders, including current ship dates or shipment information for parts that have been shipped. Developing good interpersonal skills is key for handling customer complaints, criticisms, and needs. Additionally, the role involves organizing and tracking office supplies and other company resources.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one to two years related sales, marketing or customer service experience and/or training.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ideally Access or similar database to basic level.
  • Internet and email proficiency.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations using units and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • May be required to provide proof of US person, under ITAR restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates and coordinates sales policies, practices, and procedures with department and company managers and officials, customers and the public.
  • Reviews and checks all mail and distributes accordingly.
  • Files and keeps track of various company records, both electronic and paper documents.
  • Answers questions about the organization's products and/or services.
  • May assist in customer service functions.
  • Assists customers of the status of their open purchase orders by providing current will ship dates or shipment information regarding a shipped part.
  • Develops good interpersonal skills by talking to customers and handling their complaints, criticisms and their needs.
  • Organizes and helps keep track of office supplies and other company resources for ease of use.
  • Complies with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.
  • Attends all training provided and adheres to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.
  • Brings any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management’s attention immediately.
  • Seeks opportunities to improve HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting results.
  • Participates in the development and promotion of the HSE culture.
  • Is exemplary in terms of health, safety and the environment, in particular by respecting and ensuring respect for the instructions and rules established in the field of health, safety and the environment.
  • Immediately corrects, whenever possible, or reports to superiors and/or the HSE department, any malfunction or risky situation in the fields of health, safety and environmental protection.
  • Implements preventive actions to reduce the environmental footprint and control health and safety risks.
  • Participates, upon request, in analyses (of risks, incidents) and HSE working groups related to his/her professional scope.
  • Is familiar with the main health and safety risks and the main environmental impacts relating to the scope of his/her work.
  • Is familiar with the site's HSE policy and objectives.
  • Proposes improvements for working conditions and limiting environmental impact.
