Position Monroe Truck Equipment is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support our operations in a heavy-duty vehicle upfitting environment. This is a mixed role that combines customer service, parts handling, documentation, and light warehouse support. Responsibilities go beyond answering phones and include counter walk-ups, processing in-store purchase orders, pulling parts, and staging outbound shipments. Our operation upfits bare chassis with dump bodies, platforms, work light accessories, and snow and ice removal equipment. Industry knowledge is a plus but not required—we will train the right candidate.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service, parts, warehouse, or preferred counter experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks, chassis upfitting, dump bodies, platforms, work lights, or snow and ice removal equipment is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers at the service counter, by phone, and via email.
  • Handle counter walk-ups and process in-store purchase orders (POs).
  • Pull parts accurately based on customer orders and job requirements.
  • Stage and prepare parts and materials for outbound shipments.
  • Check in and process small parcel deliveries daily.
  • Help create and maintain necessary customer, order, and job documentation.
  • Coordinate information between customers, sales, production, and internal teams.
  • Resolve customer questions and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintain organized work areas for parts staging and documentation.
  • Follow company procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
