About The Position

This position is responsible for answering and directing telephone calls from insureds, third parties, and other callers needing assistance and provide prompt, efficient, and expedient service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong problem solving abilities.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software required for this job.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish/English bilingualism preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete electronic loss notices when callers need to report a claim.
  • Assign new claims to the appropriate Claims Representative and advise claimants of the name and contact information for the Claims Representative. Transfer callers to assigned Claims Representative.
  • Open new files in the Electronic Loss Notice system for all lines, out-of-state claims, and accidental death claims.
  • Process salvage items, including processing salvage checks, and entering recovery amounts into the system.
  • Release batch check print jobs.
  • Balance checks, issued from the Waco home office and small claims, on a daily basis.
  • Balance recoveries, stop payments, and salvage payments for all regional and district offices.
  • Review, prepare and index all mail forwarded from district and regional offices to ensure that it has been properly indexed for scanning.
  • Other duties as assigned.
