About The Position

Americold Refrigeration Consultants, operating as a Tech24 Company, is a leading provider of commercial and industrial refrigeration service across all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, and the Washington, DC metro area. As part of the Americold team and broader Tech24 network, the customer service representative is the first point of contact for our customers and a critical part of our service operations team. This role supports technicians, dispatch, and leadership by coordinating service requests, communicating with customers, and ensuring work orders are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service experience while helping keep field operations running smoothly.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of customer service/dispatch in service industry a must
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with service software, Microsoft Office, and data entry systems
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude

Responsibilities

  • Ability to handle a high volume of inbound customer calls and respond to service inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Take and understand all relevant technical information required to create a service call
  • Update and manage service work orders in the system to ensure data accuracy
  • Develop a working relationship with customers and know the key accounts and contacts
  • Schedule and coordinate service calls with customers, technicians and dispatch
  • Communicate appointment confirmations, updates, and follow-ups with customers
  • Support technicians and internal teams with administrative tasks as needed
  • Provide solution-oriented customer service while maintaining professionalism and urgency
