The Financial Services Department provides financial services to the City of Lacombe, ensuring the consistent application of statutory requirements, municipal bylaws, and accounting standards. The Department also provides financial services to City-supported entities, such as its Commissions and the Library, as per established service levels. Reporting to the Accounting Services Coordinator, the Finance Customer Service Representative (CSR) provides frontline customer service and transactional financial support. As the frontline representative of the Finance team, the CSR delivers courteous, accurate, and professional service that reflects the City’s commitment to customer service excellence. The role consistently applies financial policies, bylaws, and internal controls while preparing accurate records for reconciliation and processing in the City’s financial systems, as per the scope of the position. Within this mandate, the Finance Customer Service Team contributes directly to safeguarding City revenues and maintaining audit-ready records, while supporting departmental integrity through reliable processes and effective service delivery. Together, the team helps uphold the City’s commitment to accountability, professionalism, and public trust.
