About The Position

Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is hiring a Customer Service Representative for its Peterborough, New Hampshire branch. This role is the first point of contact for customers and supports their day-to-day financial needs while building trusted relationships. The position is 40 hours per week in a fast-paced, collaborative and engaging environment. The representative assists customers with identifying financial needs and recommends relevant products and services. The role involves learning general banking knowledge, mastering routine transactions including account opening, helping meet branch goals, and providing prompt, courteous and professional service. Representatives also contribute to community growth and prosperity and follow through with customers to resolve inquiries effectively.

Requirements

An interest in and experience in customer service.
Working knowledge of Windows.

Responsibilities

Help customers identify their financial needs and recommend additional bank products and services.
Recognize opportunities and make referrals for loans, trusts, investments, insurance, and other bank services.
Develop banking knowledge and contribute to branch goals, including goals related to deposits and loans.
Build trusting relationships with people in the communities served.
Participate in and advocate for community growth and prosperity.
Process customer transactions promptly, efficiently, courteously, and professionally.
Provide exceptional customer service, resolve inquiries effectively, and follow through with customers.
Learn general banking knowledge and master routine transactions, including account opening.
