About The Position

The Customer Service Representative is focused on providing excellent customer service to clients of the organization. This is assured by documenting customer interactions and transactions, accurately processing quotes and orders through data entry, providing a timely response to customer calls and reports to the Customer Service Manager. This role is perfect for an individual who has an attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency) strong work ethic/reliability and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Customer Service Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in construction or manufacturing industry in any setting
  • Must have 1-2 years of prior customer service experience in customer facing role.
  • Strong ability to read with attention to detail and communicate requirements in fractions
  • Must have strong organizational and listening skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings, blueprints and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with AS400/Surpass, SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a broad knowledge of clients, products and services of the organization.
  • Document customer interactions and transactions.
  • Accurately process phoned, faxed and emailed quotes and orders in accordance with cut off times and other time constraints that may exist.
  • Data entry of faxed, emailed, and phoned in orders for production.
  • Coordinate with sales and production to meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate and/or resolve product or service issues.
  • Communicate with customers to determine expected delivery date and time.
