Customer Service Representative (Loan Consultant II)
About The Position
The Loan Consultant II provides an exceptional customer experience by offering personal loan solutions. The role focuses on building a customer base through sales, loan extensions, and merchant referrals. Success is based on creating a positive customer experience, generating business, complying with requirements, attaining monthly goals, and maintaining accuracy. The position works in an office environment and includes customer service, loan processing and closing, account collection activity, marketing branch products and services, and branch recordkeeping and closing duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- 2–4 or more years of consumer finance or related experience.
- Cash-handling, computer, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word.
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor's degree.
- Bilingual Spanish/English.
Responsibilities
- Greet, assist, and solicit individuals who visit the office or call by phone.
- Receive and process credit and employment verifications and record the information obtained.
- Process payments and distributions and make recommendations regarding loan approvals.
- Approve loans up to established lending limits and complete loan closings.
- Handle collection-account activities, including phone calls and face-to-face communications with customers.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and transaction documentation; record and file documentation.
- Operate the cash drawer, process bank deposits, maintain records and balances, and close the branch.
- Actively market all branch products and services to individuals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
