About The Position
The Loan Consultant II provides an exceptional customer experience while offering personal loan solutions. The role builds a customer base through sales, loan extensions, and merchant referrals. Success is measured by customer experience, business generation, compliance, achievement of monthly goals, and accuracy. The position involves serving customers in the branch and by phone, processing loan-related transactions and documentation, handling collection account activities, marketing branch products and services, and assisting with branch operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- 2–4 or more years of consumer finance or related experience.
- Cash-handling, computer, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word.
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor's degree.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Responsibilities
- Greet, assist, and solicit individuals visiting the office or calling by phone.
- Receive and process credit and employment verifications, and record the information obtained.
- Process payments and distributions, and make recommendations regarding loan approvals.
- Approve loans within established lending limits and complete loan closings.
- Handle collection account activities, including phone calls and face-to-face communications with customers.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, transaction documentation, and records; file documentation.
- Operate the cash drawer, process bank deposits, maintain records and balances, and close the branch.
- Actively market all branch products and services to individuals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
