  • High school diploma required.
  • Two years of office, customer-service, or patient-relations experience preferred.
  • Ability to remain active throughout the day, including walking, standing, bending, and squatting.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Comfort working around animals of varying sizes and temperaments.

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
  • Answer a multi-line phone system while assessing, prioritizing, and directing calls appropriately.
  • Schedule appointments to support efficient use of doctor and staff time.
  • Check clients and patients in and collect accurate, pertinent information.
  • Confirm upcoming appointments according to hospital protocols.
  • Check clients and patients out and collect payments at the time of service.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate client and patient information within the practice-management system.
  • Respond to client questions and help resolve concerns professionally.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Support day-to-day front-office operations and administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with doctors, technicians, assistants, and fellow CSRs to keep the hospital running smoothly.
