About The Position

Augment Human Resource Services is hiring a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to work on-site at one of their premier waste and recycling partners in Houston, TX. In this role, the CSR will handle inbound customer calls, respond to service inquiries, take orders, and resolve complaints, ensuring every customer interaction is professional, efficient, and focused on solutions. The position supports customers across residential, commercial, and industrial service lines. The CSR will be trained on internal systems and work as part of a team that values responsiveness, professionalism, and accountability. This role is ideal for dependable, patient individuals who take pride in helping others in an essential industry.

Requirements

1+ year of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced or call center environment.
Clear communication skills and strong phone etiquette.
Conflict resolution and problem-solving ability.
Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
High school diploma or GED.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Answer inbound customer calls regarding service inquiries, missed pickups, new orders, and billing questions.
Resolve service complaints quickly and professionally, escalating issues as needed.
Enter and update customer accounts, service orders, and special instructions in the system.
Schedule cart deliveries, exchanges, bulk pickups, and container removals.
Track and follow up on unresolved issues to ensure service completion.
Educate customers on available services, schedules, and company policies.
Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and supervisors to resolve service concerns in real time.
Document all interactions and outcomes in the customer service system.
