About The Position

Burke Animal Clinic is seeking friendly, understanding, and professional Customer Service Representatives to provide exceptional service to clients. CSRs are the first point of contact and should be compassionate, articulate, and able to manage high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently while balancing multiple tasks and supporting clients and staff during emotional moments.

The role involves client reception and checkout, communications, appointment coordination, handling client requests and payments, and maintaining patient and client records. The position is full-time, with a schedule that includes Monday, Wednesday–Friday from 12:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The listed pay range is $19.00–$20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organized and meticulous work habits.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary terms and procedures.
• Basic computer skills.
• Patience and respect for clients, patients, and colleagues.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to adapt emotionally between different appointment situations, including joyful visits and compassionate euthanasia appointments.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and check them in and out.
• Learn and follow clinic policies, procedures, and clinical processes.
• Answer phone calls, emails, and texts, and process messages.
• Book, confirm, and manage appointments, surgeries, and procedures.
• Handle food and prescription requests.
• Manage the cash drawer and prepare end-of-day financial reports.
• Troubleshoot client communication issues.
• Process patient records, lab work, and specialist reports.
• Maintain accurate client records and update information as needed.
• Relay messages between clients, veterinarians, and other staff members.
• Multitask and manage a variety of duties in a fast-paced environment.
