About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to provide customer service as part of a supportive team. The role helps customers with U-Haul products and services, manages equipment rentals and returns using smartphone-based technology, and inspects and maintains equipment. On-the-job education is provided, including opportunities to obtain certifications for propane filling and forklift operation. The position includes paid hands-on working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through the 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores. The position is located at 2 Township Line Rd, Havertown, Pennsylvania 19083. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship. U-Haul does not hire or re-hire nicotine users in Pennsylvania and certain other listed states.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
Must not use nicotine products, as U-Haul does not hire or re-hire nicotine users in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer customer questions and explain products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
