Customer Service Representative, Industrial Store
About The Position
Norco is seeking an Industrial Store Customer Service Representative to serve walk-in and phone-in customers at its Pasco, Washington location. The role involves providing customer service and product information, selling welding and safety products and services, processing orders and quotes, addressing order issues, maintaining cash records and sales literature, stocking shelves, coordinating special orders with Purchasing, and loading products into customer vehicles. The representative must follow established procedures, policies, and safety rules and perform other tasks as assigned or needed.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of industrial products and gases.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.

- CDL, or willingness to obtain one.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally and enthusiastically.
- Answer telephone calls promptly, assist callers, and transfer them to another person when needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of products, their placement, availability, prices, and uses.
- Sell welding and safety products and services.
- Process customer orders and accurately enter them into the computer.
- Research products for customers’ special applications.
- Follow up on incorrectly processed customer orders and resolve the issue.
- Keep sales literature current and organized.
- Maintain an accurate cash till and run daily cash reports.
- Stock shelves as needed.
- Communicate special-order needs to the Purchasing Department.
- Provide sales quotes to customers.
- Load products into customer vehicles.
- Follow established procedures, policies, and safety rules.
- Perform other tasks as assigned or needed.
