Customer Service Representative, Industrial Store
About The Position
Norco is hiring an Industrial Store Customer Service Representative to serve walk-in and phone-in customers at its Pasco, Washington location. The role involves assisting customers with welding and safety products and services, processing orders and quotes, handling cash transactions, coordinating special orders, and maintaining product and sales materials. The position also includes stocking shelves, loading products into customer vehicles, and following established procedures, policies, and safety rules. A CDL is preferred, or the candidate must be willing to obtain one. Wage is $22–$24 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of industrial products and gases.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
- CDL preferred, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers professionally and enthusiastically.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and transfer customers to another person when needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge of products, their placement, availability, pricing, and use.
- Sell welding and safety products and services.
- Process customer orders and accurately enter them into the computer.
- Research products for customers’ special applications.
- Follow up on incorrectly processed orders and resolve the situation.
- Keep sales literature current and organized.
- Maintain an accurate cash till and run daily cash reports.
- Stock shelves as needed.
- Communicate special-order needs to the Purchasing Department.
- Issue product sales quotes to customers.
- Load products into customer vehicles.
- Adhere to established procedures, policies, and safety rules.
- Perform other tasks as assigned or needed.
