About The Position

The City of O'Fallon is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. This role supports essential city operations and plays an important part in delivering exceptional service to our residents. This position provides administrative and customer service support for departmental operations, including utility account coordination, billing assistance, and customer inquiry resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and provide information and customer support regarding accounts
  • Resolve customer billing questions and concerns
  • Prepare and dispatch water/sewer tap inspection orders
  • Prepare delinquent environmental service letters and maintain related account lists
  • Maintain and dispatch water turn-off lists
  • Establish new water, sewer, and trash accounts, as well as disconnections
  • Process final move-ins for existing accounts
  • Administer the Backflow Program
  • Assist with winter averaging for sewer accounts
  • Periodically process billing and serve as backup to the Billing Specialist
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
