We are immediately hiring a Customer Service Representative in Baltimore, MD for our Supply Chain Solutions division. Pay Type: Non-Exempt / Paid Weekly Hourly Pay: $23.00 based on experience Schedule: FHD- Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. with flexibility to work overtime as needed. Requirements

  • H.S. diploma/GED required
  • Two (2) years or more as a clerk in a warehouse/distribution environment performing duties such as transportation coordination, inventory, shipping/receiving, coordinating with various carriers, vendors and customers preferred
  • Two (2) years or more operating forklift equipment preferred
  • Has the ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with customer and contractors - answering questions regarding shipment times, product cuts, loads not picked up by the carrier, and damage claims.
  • Coordinates processing of export orders, filling out export paperwork, generates export labels, maintaining export paperwork.
  • Processes return in Warehouse Management System (WMS) and maintains paperwork.
  • Performs admin tasks for area or shift.
  • Maintains filing systems and documents per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Pallet management - orders CHEP and white wood pallets for the site, reconciliation of pallet count, research into large pallet system variances.
  • Using the location's WMS System, updates area or shift metrics as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Work overtime as needed
