About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a friendly, motivated Customer Service Representative to provide customer service at its Grapevine, Texas location. Working as part of a supportive team, the representative assists customers with U-Haul products and services, dispatches and returns equipment using current technology, and inspects and maintains equipment. On-the-job education is offered, including ongoing learning through U-Haul University and certification opportunities for propane filling and forklift operation. The position is not eligible for employer sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work without requiring employer sponsorship. U-Haul offers paid hands-on working interviews, a $100 hiring bonus, and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of the U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification certification through its 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores. Eligibility applies to certain listed benefits.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Legally authorized to work without requiring employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Assist customers inside and outside a U-Haul center with U-Haul products and services.
Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
Clean and inspect equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels.
Answer customer questions and explain products and services.
Prepare rental invoices and accept returned rental equipment.
Install hitches and trailer wiring.
Fill propane; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Drive a forklift; certification is offered through U-Haul upon employment.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
