About The Position

Vertical Cold Storage is looking for an experienced Customer Service Professional to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 2-3 years customer service or warehouse office experience
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to read and write English

Nice To Haves

  • Prior warehouse/distribution experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the warehouse and the customer, maintaining excellent working relationships by responding to inquiries, processing orders, and handling complaints promptly, courteously, and effectively. Report any customer feedback or dissatisfaction to management.
  • Check drivers in/out and assign doors in coordination with dock operations. Notify the warehouse of arrivals and schedules.
  • Ensure receipts for product are accurately entered into the system, following Vertical Cold Storage processes, procedures, and customer instructions.
  • Finalize receipts to confirm counts, verify discrepancies, document them, and ensure product is accurately located in the system.
  • Validate that orders are accurately entered according to Vertical Cold Storage processes, procedures, and customer instructions, and communicate them effectively to warehouse staff and all affected personnel.
  • Ensure product is allocated to orders in line with customer instructions and has been properly processed and shipped from the WMS system.
  • Follow Vertical Cold Storage procedures to ensure customers are accurately billed for services in a timely fashion, based on established tariff rates and any negotiated rates.
  • Resolve problems by clarifying issues, determining the best solution, expediting corrections or adjustments, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and distributing information per customer and/or Vertical Cold Storage procedures.
  • Operate a multi-line phone system, ensuring expedient and courteous responses.
  • Maintain inter and intra-departmental workflow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following safety rules and regulations.
  • Support assigned duties from management to assist in the business of the facility.
