About The Position

G.E. Mechanical, LLC is a full-service mechanical contractor founded in 1984. They specialize in HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Drain Cleaning, Environmental and Vacuum Truck Services, Emergency Underground Repairs, and Septic Pumping and Lift Stations. With locations in Vineland and Cranbury, they serve New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Northern Delaware. Their customer base includes building owners, contractors, industrial facilities, commercial enterprises, municipal and government entities, and property managers. In addition to emergency services, they offer Design and Build Services, Construction Management, and Preventative/Reactive/Predictive Maintenance Programs. The Customer Service Representative's role is to manage the intake of customer information, coordinate internally for work execution, and communicate with technicians in real-time to ensure quality service and proper work order close-out.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of customer service experience in a sales/office/corporate setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls for customer service requests and provide customers with estimated technician arrival times.
  • Reference client service history for new work orders to verify authorization, credit limits/payment information/COD status, and identify discrepancies.
  • Provide hourly rates, pricing holds, and process payment information.
  • Create, open, assign, and close work order requests.
  • Provide real-time updates via notes in each work order description.
  • Review technician descriptions on completed work orders for literacy, grammar, and spelling.
  • Correspond with technicians to ensure proper close-out of service calls before they are dispatched to the next call.
  • Utilize GPS tracking software to run truck reports, cross-reference ticket times, and generate system reports.
  • Route calls to the appropriate departments or individuals.
  • Maintain service department filing.
