About The Position

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will operate a multi-line phone system with proper etiquette, take and deliver accurate telephone messages, and perform various daily tasks and errands. This role is responsible for making travel arrangements for internal employees, answering inquiries, and providing information to the general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties regarding the establishment's activities, department locations, and employee whereabouts. The position requires adherence to all Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as guidelines, policies, and procedures outlined in the Jacam handbook. The CSR must also comply with Jacam's Drug and Alcohol policy and agree to random drug testing as a condition of employment. Cooperation with fellow employees and the ability to create presentations and manuals with instruction are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Fluently read, write, and speak in English.
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • One or two years of experience.
  • Initially type at 35 wpm with an error of 1/100 keystrokes. Goal to be 80 wpm and 1/500 errors per keystrokes.
  • Be highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task.
  • Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful and credible in the workplace.
  • Build communal relationships with customers and co-workers.
  • Exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others.
  • Background in MS Office applications is required.
  • Meets internal and external commitments and responds promptly to employee and/or manager needs.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a multi-line phone system promptly, using proper telephone etiquette.
  • Take and deliver accurate telephone messages.
  • Perform a variety of daily tasks and errands.
  • Make travel arrangements for internal employees.
  • Answer inquiries and obtain information for general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties.
  • Provide information regarding activities conducted at establishment; location of departments, offices, and employees within organization.
  • Comply with all Federal, State and Local laws.
  • Adhere to guidelines, policies and procedures as described in the Jacam handbook.
  • Adhere to Jacam’s Drug and Alcohol policy and agrees to submit to random drug testing as a condition of employment.
  • Cooperate with fellow employees towards completing a common goal.
  • Create presentations and manuals as required, with instruction and materials.
  • Answer phones per procedure. Promptly and with proper telephone etiquette.
  • Use all equipment associated with position. Copier, postage scale & meter, fax machine and general office equipment.
  • Be precise, detail-oriented, and organized while processing multiple activities.
