About The Position
Zymo Research is seeking a positive, solutions-oriented Customer Service Representative to support customers worldwide with order and product-related inquiries, manage incoming orders, and work with other departments to fulfill customer requests. The role also involves identifying customer needs, helping ensure a positive customer experience, and contributing to continuous process improvements. This is a part-time, temporary-to-hire position based onsite at Zymo Research Operations in Tustin, California. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent.
- Experience with customer service principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt to evolving customer service processes.
- Demonstrated attention to detail in administrative, order-processing, data-entry, or customer operations work.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems; NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately process orders placed by email, fax, and phone using Oracle NetSuite.
- Provide friendly, professional phone and email support for customer order and product-related inquiries.
- Resolve and follow up on order-related discrepancies.
- Coordinate returns, replacements, refunds, and credit memos.
- Share customer insights and feedback and advise internal teams on customer-experience improvements.
- Cultivate good relationships with key accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications, order changes, and internal notes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to fulfill customer requests.
- Advise customers on lead times, current promotions, and company policies.
- Provide feedback on workflows and processes to identify and optimize areas for improvement.
