About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our team located in Zanesville, Ohio. The Customer Service Representative performs a range of duties to process residential product inquiries and orders. This position requires a detail-oriented and customer focused professional to serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring accurate order processing, timely communication, and exceptional service through the order cycle.

Requirements

Experience in customer service, sales administration, order management, or a related business support role.
Highly driven, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with ERP systems, databases, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
Ability to understand and interpret technical information.
Ability to interact effectively with customers of all kinds

Nice To Haves

Two years of prior Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

Managing the customer orders for the day while handling all types of questions from customers regarding order changes, spare part needs, quality issues, and cancellations.
Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers through professional, responsive communication.
Communicates effectively by phone and email regarding customer service matters and order status.
Handles complaints and returns professionally, including corrective actions, returns, and credits.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
