About The Position

The Student Customer Service Representative within Housing and Residence Life is responsible for serving as the initial point of contact for current residents, families, and guests. This includes answering incoming phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting guests in the housing office to resolve questions or concerns. The role also involves representing Housing & Residence Life at university-wide events to promote the on-campus living experience, providing tours of on-campus living spaces to prospective residents, families, and visitors, and assisting prospective and current students, families, and guests with inquiries regarding residential facilities, campus resources, and university services. Additionally, the representative will respond to inquiries and promote campus life and the UF student experience, as well as maintain and update area procedures, records, and materials.

Requirements

• This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus
• Must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average
• Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one year experience with retail or customer service in professional office setting
• Extensive knowledge of the University of Florida
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, attention to detail, and record keeping
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and ability to work as a member of a team
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities
