About The Position

ChristianaCare is seeking a Customer Service Specialist II in Wilmington, DE. This is a call center-like position responsible for taking incoming calls for General Surgery, Podiatry, Colorectal Surgery, and Bariatrics. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility required. This is an on-site position at our Avenue North location in Wilmington, DE.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Prior call center, customer service and medical office related experience preferred.
  • Computer and key boarding skill required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately respond to high volume calls.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Handle phone notes.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in escalating urgent calls.
  • Use computer tools like scheduling modules and EMRs.
  • Multitask and handle calls appropriately.
  • Use CCHS HEAT methodology when service issues arise.
  • Interact with patients, physicians, and staff, providing accurate communication.
  • Perform assigned work safely, adhering to departmental safety rules.
  • Report unsafe activities to the manager.
