About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring a smooth and timely customs process flow, accurate data entry, and client billing. The representative will understand and interpret import and export customs procedures, transfer declaration information into the customs entry system, and assist with verification and submission to customs authorities. The position also involves supporting process improvement, AI, and automation initiatives, documenting SOPs, analyzing trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week in a professional, international, open, and enthusiastic team environment.

Requirements

  • Understanding of transportation documentation and terms is a plus
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interest in data analytics, AI, automation, and process improvement
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, formulas, pivot tables)
  • Familiarity with data visualization or analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Co-Pilot, etc) is a plus
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proactive, curious, and eager to learn new technologies
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a professional environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth and timely customs process flow
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
  • Track and Trace Custom files and reporting
  • Ensure accurate and timely client billing
  • Understand all the elements of the import and export customs Desk Level Operating Procedure and correctly interpret this information to fulfill our customer’s instructions and expectations.
  • Transfer customs declaration information from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration
  • Assist with verification of customs declaration information and the submission of such to the customs authority
  • Ensure compliance at all times to regulations
  • Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows, identifying gaps, and recommending efficiency improvements
  • Participate in AI and automation initiatives, such as: Identifying repetitive or manual tasks suitable for automation, Supporting AI‑enabled tools (e.g., reporting automation, workflow optimization, data analysis support)
  • Help document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process changes
  • Analyze trends and performance data to support leadership decision‑making
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the branch to support operational initiatives
  • Provide analytical, documentation, and administrative support as needed
