The Customer Service Rep answers phones, enters pizza orders into computers, and learns to prepare pizzas from start to finish. The role requires a positive outlook and willingness to work with the general public. Team members may have opportunities to advance into management and other roles. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. General duties include operating equipment, stocking ingredients and supplies, preparing products, receiving and processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility approximately daily. The role involves communicating with customers and coworkers in person and by phone, entering orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen, and performing accurate calculations and making correct change. Work takes place in a store environment with exposure to varying weather during outside tasks; temperatures ranging from 36 degrees in the cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas; food odors and cornmeal dust; cramped spaces; hot surfaces and tools, including ovens up to 500 degrees or higher; and sharp edges and moving mechanical parts. Most tasks are performed standing, with short-distance walking. Paperwork is normally completed seated at a desk or table. Team members unload bulk deliveries, sometimes using a hand truck, and lift cases weighing up to 50 pounds from the floor to shelves up to 72 inches high.
