About The Position

The Customer Service Rep processes customer orders and performs general store duties, including preparing products, stocking ingredients and supplies, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role offers on-the-job orientation and training, and opportunities to advance from customer service to management and beyond. Work may be part time or full time, with schedules intended to accommodate employees’ other commitments.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Comprehend and provide correct written instructions.
• Communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders in person and over the phone.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; use a calculator if needed.
• Make correct monetary change.
• Have verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Coordinate eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Be able to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing for most tasks, walking short distances, and lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand use. Deliveries may weigh up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate store equipment.
• Stock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders, and communicate with customers in person and by phone.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
• Unload and store deliveries, including lifting and stacking cases of ingredients and supplies.
• Perform other store tasks such as stocking shelves, cleaning, and changing prices on signs.
