About The Position

The Customer Service Rep operates equipment, stocks ingredients and supplies, prepares products, and receives and processes telephone and in-person orders. The role also includes daily cleaning, inventory, and related paperwork. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The position involves frequent standing and hand use, repetitive food-preparation and order-entry tasks, and handling deliveries and supplies. Team members work in a restaurant environment with exposure to varied temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical activities may include lifting, carrying, pushing, reaching, bending, crouching, and occasional stair or ladder use.

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, with a calculator if needed.
• Ability to make correct monetary change.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands or fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

• Ability to lift delivery cases weighing up to 50 pounds and handle the other physical demands described for the role.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, the work area, and the walk-in cooler.
• Prepare products.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Clean equipment and the facility daily.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Unload bulk product deliveries using a hand truck and move cases to shelves.
• Perform tasks such as changing prices on signs, washing walls, and maintenance when needed.
