About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for the functions of the Customer Service Department to ensure all daily tasks are completed, and lend assistance where needed in other areas such as plant production scheduling, inventory control research, shipping communication and maintain a safe work environment. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Microsoft Office, managing files and records, sending out memos, and other office procedures.
  • Job requires reliability, responsibility, dependability, and being able to fulfill assigned job requirements.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge of order entry systems.
  • The ability to adhere to the company's policies, rules and regulations, according to the Employee Handbook.
  • Ability to work with internal/external customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Follow rules and regulations, in order to avoid any appearance of impropriety.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize daily workload to ensure timely completion of duties.
  • The ability to perform routine duties and consistent fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers by telephone or email to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, or obtain details of complaints.
  • Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.
  • Refer unresolved customer grievances.
  • Contact customers to respond to inquiries.
  • Solicit sales of new or additional services or products.
  • Recommend improvements in products, packaging, shipping, service, or billing methods and procedures to prevent future problems.
  • Accurately completing work tasks (i.e. entering customer orders and scheduling).
  • Data entry.
  • Flexibility to work on projects or research related to the needs of other departments.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
