About The Position

Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Customer Service Professional I. This position is a part-time, non-benefited position, working 25 hours per week. The Customer Service Professional I reports to the Customer Service Supervisor. The primary job duties of this position include: Review and data enter Development Services applications and permits. Scan applications into system; Process cash, check, and/or credit card payments for Development Services and Finance transactions. Balance the cash drawer and prepare bank deposits on a daily basis and/or perform daily reconciliation of payments to the system; Issue and renew Gilbert business licenses. Enter new licenses for processing, take payment and issue license and renewal. Scan applications into the system; Process Public Works work orders for residents requesting service, this includes Streets, Environmental Services, Meter Services, Water Conservation, Water Quality, etc.; Respond to inquiries and request for utility billing, business licensing, and permitting; View the full Job Description. Residency within the State of Arizona is required for all employees. Employees must have the ability to respond to the on-site workplace within a reasonable amount of time, which is generally considered to be within two (2) hours. However, some positions may dictate a more urgent response based on situational need.

Requirements

  • Associates degree (A.S., A.A.) or two-year technical certificate in related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a customer service environment and/or in a call center or high-volume phone environment.
  • 2 years of experience using multiple software systems.
  • 1 year of cashiering experience if applicable.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
  • Residency within the State of Arizona is required.
  • Employees must have the ability to respond to the on-site workplace within a reasonable amount of time, which is generally considered to be within two (2) hours.
