About The Position

This role is for a Part-Time Customer Service Guard at an educational facility, specifically a post-secondary institution in Toronto. The primary focus is on customer service, engaging with students, professors, and the public, ensuring they feel confident and assisted. The guard will be responsible for welcoming visitors, verifying IDs, controlling building access, conducting patrols, monitoring security equipment, responding to incidents, and documenting reports.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Must be able to commit to the part-time schedule for both Saturday & Sunday (12AM-8AM)
  • Must have a valid WSIB Approved First Aid & CPR Level C Certification
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a customer service or concierge role

Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors, verify ID, and provide directions
  • Control building access
  • Conduct foot patrols to identify risks
  • Check security equipment and report issues
  • Complete computer-based monitoring and reports
  • Respond to incidents and provide first aid
  • Write incident reports and communicate concerns
  • Answer questions in person and by phone
