About The Position

This role is for a Customer Service Security Guard at a post-secondary institution in Toronto, ON. The primary focus is on customer service, interacting with students, professors, and the general public. The ideal candidate will be able to engage with people easily and make them feel confident in their ability to help them.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Must be able to commit to the full-time schedule for Monday to Friday from 12AM-8AM
  • Must have a valid WSIB Approved First Aid & CPR Level C Certification
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in a customer service or concierge role

Responsibilities

  • Welcome visitors, verify ID, and provide directions
  • Control building access
  • Conduct foot patrols to identify risks
  • Check security equipment and report issues
  • Complete computer-based monitoring and reports
  • Respond to incidents and provide first aid
  • Write incident reports and communicate concerns
  • Answer questions in person and by phone
