About The Position

GFL Environmental is hiring a Customer Service Representative (CSR)/Dispatcher to join our Calgary team! As a CSR/Dispatcher, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers—helping schedule service, answer questions, solve problems, and ensure every interaction reflects our commitment to excellent service. In this role you will experience the full scope of what we do at GFL! From service to operations, you’ll be an integral part of the team!

Requirements

  • 1-2 years in a transportation, dispatch or customer service role.(Preferred)
  • Great communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using the Google Workspace suite of programs
  • Friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Experience in waste or environmental services is a bonus
  • Familiarity with Trux software is a plus
  • Proven problem solving mindset with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service via telephone and email to assigned Client Accounts. This includes, but is not limited to, missed pick-ups, terms and conditions of contract, complaints, pricing issues, changes, new orders, claims processing, etc. Follow up with customers on a regular basis to ensure that resolution meets their needs.
  • Develops and maintains rapport with customers, and/or manufacturers, via telephone and email, in order to build and maintain an excellent working relationship.
  • Provide comprehensive customer support via telephone and email, addressing missed pick-ups, contract terms, pricing, and orders.
  • Provides regular and adhoc reporting and assistance to various GFL Environmental Managers and clients. This could include, but not be limited to, customer revenue and volume trend analysis, new client statistics, and adhoc account reports.
  • Coordinate activities across internal departments, including IT, Operations, and Dispatch, to ensure accurate completion of field tasks.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
  • Coordinate communication, manage schedules, and ensure efficient operations
  • Communicate with brokers, carriers, and customers, and drivers
  • Deals with conflict and provide solutions in a timely manner
  • Enters data in computer system and maintaining logs and records of calls, activities and other information
