About The Position

Darling International Canada Inc., is Canada's largest provider of rendering and recycling services to the food industry, operating six processing facilities across Canada. Darling Canada provides essential services for the efficient and environmentally responsible management of collecting, processing and recycling edible and inedible animal by-products. POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting directly to the Supervisor of Customer Service, the Customer Service Coordinator is responsible for responding to external customer inquiries and resolving requests in a timely and professional manner. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong multitasking abilities while supporting both the Logistics Supervisors and Sales Department.

Requirements

  • At least 1-year minimum of experience in customer service an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally over the phone
  • Excellent multitasking and time management abilities
  • Ability to troubleshoot in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to de-escalate customer concerns in a tense situation
  • Ability to maintain positive and fact-based responses and exercise self-awareness under pressure
  • Own transportation (no city transportation in the area)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous call center experience preferred
  • Highly self-motivated with a positive attitude

Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Respond to customer inquiries received via telephone, email, or written correspondence politely and promptly
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and service requests efficiently
  • Analyze customer concerns to determine the most appropriate and effective resolution
  • Support DICI commitment to excellence in customer service
  • Perform administrative duties, including reporting and data entry and review
  • Engage with both new and existing customers regarding new products and renewal opportunities
