The Customer Service Center Manager (Terminal Manager) is responsible and accountable for the overall profitability, financial soundness, safety, and operational development of the trucking terminal. This role directs and coordinates terminal activities, confers with subordinate management on policies and procedures, and ensures the optimum use of equipment, facilities, personnel, and training. The manager analyzes financial and operations reports to identify profit-increasing opportunities and assists in budget development. They approve requisitions for equipment and supplies within the operational budget and enforce strict compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules, and governmental and environmental policies. The position also involves directing investigations into customer complaints, reviewing operational records to identify deviations, and preparing directives to correct them. Additionally, the manager reviews shipper accounts for issues like overdue payments and provides oversight for shop maintenance and operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies for maintenance, housekeeping, and safety, including preventative maintenance on all equipment. This role requires being on-call 24/7 for terminal/dispatch support and responding on-site 24/7 to emergencies and job incidents. The manager will also perform IPOs (Driver Observations).
