About The Position

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a positive shopping experience. The role supports customers, handles register transactions and cash security, maintains merchandise and stock levels, assists with receiving and unloading deliveries, and helps keep the store safe, clean, and presentable. Associates are expected to interact professionally and respectfully with customers, coworkers, and leaders and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions while working an assigned cash register.
Maintain the security of cash and protect company assets.
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise and help unload trucks.
Replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Help ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
