About The Position

The Customer Service Associate assists customers and supports store operations to provide a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include answering customer questions and offering recommendations; operating an assigned cash register and managing sales transactions; safeguarding cash and company assets; stocking and recovering merchandise; receiving deliveries and helping unload trucks; replenishing stock to productivity standards; maintaining a positive, safe, and respectful environment; and keeping the store clean and presentable. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions while working an assigned cash register.
Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise, help unload trucks, and replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional, friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
