About The Position

The Customer Service Associate helps deliver a positive shopping experience by assisting customers, processing sales, maintaining merchandise and store conditions, and supporting safe, respectful interactions. The role also includes receiving and replenishing merchandise, unloading trucks, and performing store cleaning and other duties as assigned. This position is part-time at Dollar Tree in West Hills, California.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands involving frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise, help unload trucks, and replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment and interact professionally and cordially with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
