About The Position

The Customer Service Associate helps deliver a positive shopping experience by assisting customers, processing sales, maintaining merchandise and store cleanliness, and supporting store operations. The role includes operating an assigned cash register, protecting cash and company assets, stocking and recovering merchandise, receiving deliveries, and helping unload trucks. Associates are expected to contribute to a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional, friendly interactions with customers, coworkers, and leaders. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions while working an assigned cash register.
Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Help maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
