About The Position

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help provide customers with a great shopping experience. The role includes assisting customers, operating a cash register, maintaining store merchandise and inventory, receiving and unloading deliveries, and keeping the store clean, safe, and presentable. Associates are expected to interact professionally and courteously with customers, coworkers, and leaders, and to perform other duties as assigned. This is a part-time position in Homestead, Florida.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions while working an assigned cash register.
Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise and help unload trucks.
Replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Help ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
