About The Position

This is a part-time position at the Ewing Store in Ewing, NJ. The role involves customer service, processing transactions, maintaining the store, and cross-training in other areas. The goal is to provide excellent customer support while contributing to the company's mission of job training and education.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures.
  • Successfully process register transactions, handle money, count down a drawer, and ask every customer for a Round-Up donation.
  • Achieve 40% Round-Up transaction average every month.
  • Engage customers successfully using specific steps including greeting, focusing on the customer, maintaining a clean store, walking, talking, showing, thanking the customer, listening and responding to concerns, engaging at the register, managing the register line, using good phone etiquette, and providing clear announcements.
  • Receive cross-training as Donation-Utility Associate and Barcoder.
  • Train to complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Stock and maintain the sales floor with newly processed merchandise.
  • Maintain a clean, organized sales floor by recovering standards through sizing of merchandise and organization of wares and furniture.
  • Maintain sales floor by recovering sales floor and dressing rooms.
  • Establish or identify prices of goods via the type of merchandise, identifying markings, or asking for help from an on-site manager or supervisor.
  • Utilize systems, including phones and paging systems and make regularly scheduled announcements.
  • Maintain interior and exterior of store in a neat, clean, and orderly manner (includes vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors, washing windows, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance at all times.
  • Wear company issued uniform.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Perform all other essential duties as assigned.
