About The Position

The Customer Service Associate assists customers and helps deliver a positive shopping experience. The role handles sales transactions at an assigned cash register, maintains cash security and protects company assets, stocks and recovers merchandise, receives merchandise, and helps unload trucks and replenish stock to productivity standards. The associate contributes to a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional, friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders. The position also involves maintaining store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable. Other duties may be assigned. This is a part-time position at 675 E. Main Street, Sylva, North Carolina 28779.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
Ability to lift between 30 and 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Nice To Haves
