About The Position

The Customer Service Associate assists customers and supports store operations to deliver a positive shopping experience. The role includes answering questions and offering recommendations, processing sales at an assigned register, safeguarding cash and company assets, stocking and recovering merchandise, receiving deliveries, and replenishing stock according to productivity standards. Associates maintain a safe, positive, and respectful environment through professional, friendly interactions. They are also responsible for store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable. Other duties may be assigned. This is a part-time position with Family Dollar at 6150 W Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, Nevada 89103. The job description may be amended as business needs evolve, and employment is at-will.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift between 30 and 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions while working an assigned cash register.
Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise, help unload trucks, and replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.
Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
