About The Position

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. The role includes assisting customers, handling sales transactions at an assigned cash register, maintaining cash security and protecting company assets, stocking and recovering merchandise, and helping receive and unload deliveries. The associate also helps replenish stock according to productivity standards and maintains a positive, safe, and respectful environment through professional, friendly interactions. Store cleanliness is part of the role, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
Ability to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Previous customer service experience in a retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
Manage sales transactions while working an assigned cash register.
Maintain the security of cash and protect company assets.
Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
Receive merchandise and help unload trucks.
Replenish stock in accordance with productivity standards.

Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable.
